Education
Greater Lincoln has a good school system, with the number of pupils achieving 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C grade higher than the national and regional rates. Nursery places are available for all four year olds and there is a wide choice of secondary schools, including grammar and private schools, centres of vocational excellence, and specialist status schools and colleges. The new Gainsborough Educational Village is an all-purpose, high-technology, environmentally sustainable school - the first of its kind in the region with another being considered in Lincoln.
Workforce development
Greater Lincoln provides a vast array of business-driven training and workforce development programmes and services through both public and private sources. The University supports it entrepreneurial graduates with incubation units, while small businesses and start-ups are well looked after through the provision of a number of managed workspaces specifically designed to meet the requirements of growing businesses.
Housing
Greater Lincoln provides a diverse range of housing in both rural and urban areas at highly competitive prices compared to regional and UK averages. The draft regional plan which takes in the Greater Lincoln area currently allocates a housing build provision for Lincolnshire of nearly 4,000 houses per year to 2026. There is also a network of smaller urban areas and market towns across the region that provide the potential to accommodate economic development and housing.
